Anyway, this mix evolved somewhat, not just with the new series starting (the last two tracks were added as a result of 2x01, 'Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang') but also because I realized how complex the image is I have of those two characters and their relationship. To summarize it: Here's two men who work together. They are attracted to each other, but both have Issues with a capital I. Yet, despite (or because) of their angst, both have something to offer the other. Maybe not a conventional romance, maybe even a bit of heartbreak, but the connection is there.
Therefore I chose several character-based songs, quite a number of angsty tracks, a few sexual ones, but I hope the underlying message is still a positive, maybe even hopeful one.
